Kalahari San Bushmen

The San Bushmen of the Kalahari are VERY Special people. A most ancient civilisation with a strange 'clicking' in the way they speak. Evidence suggests that the San people are the oldest ethnic group on the planet, their nomadic hunter-gatherer culture dating back at least 20,000 years. We were invited to take a walk in the bush with them, during which they showed us their root and tuber gathering, how to make fire, the finer points of scorpion handling - and a most energetic game of skill and chance - the whole accompanied by huge smiles, gales of laughter and genuine friendship. The memory will last for ever.
